Spadino pens Malvern’s story

Malvern Community Forum (MCF) spokesperson, Mike Spadino has started writing a book – The chronicles of a suburb, Malvern and surrounds.

He said the book will focus on the history of Malvern.
“I started researching the history of Malvern in 1996. I found so much information so I decided to write a book.
“Future generations will know about the suburb.”

He said he already wrote five chapters about the street names.
“I am busy writing about the gold mines around the area.”

He said since the EXPRESS published a story about Cora Weaver, who is conducting a research about all the Malverns in the world, he has also been in contact with her.
“I am working in collaboration with her. I will give her more information about my book. They will also give me information about Malvern in the UK. I’m working with journalists who are helping me with the typing and manuscript of the book,” he said.
Spadino said his book will be released next year July in a coffee table format.
