At the event she won one gold, three bronze medals and was made captain of the EGA provincial squad

Holy Rosary School’s Grade 11 learner, Chrislin Nieuwoudt, recently competed as part of the South African National Lifesaving squad, at the Commonwealth Games.

The games which were held in Durban saw the South African team come second.

Chrislin received her senior Protea blazer and Victrix Ludorum Awards for the female events.

She also received two medals for the festival events and two silver medals for the relays.

Besides competing at the Commonwealth Games, Chrislin took part in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Small Districts Gala held on August 19.

At the event she won one gold, three bronze medals and was made captain of the EGA provincial squad.
