Edenvale High School’s debating team recently participated in the South African Institute of International Affairs Model UN.
At the event, two Edenvale High teams placed in the top three of their respective categories.
Each team was assigned a country and a research area.
The learners spent the day discussing global issues facing the world such as water scarcity, the famine crisis in Yemen and cybersecurity.
Edenvale High’s cybersecurity team received a bronze medal while its water scarcity team received silver.
The event was held at the University of Witwatersrand’s Science Stadium on September 16.
