VIDEOS: Thunderstorms bring Edenvale, Bedfordview traffic to a standstill

Several roads and Gillooly's Interchange were flooded

Traffic in and around Edenvale and Bedfordview areas came to a standstill following this afternoon’s thunderstorm.

The South African Weather Service  warned earlier today that residents and motorists can expect heavy rains, damaging winds and hail in parts of the province.

Several roads and Gillooly’s Interchange were flooded causing heavy delays for motorists.

This comes almost a year after the devastating floods of November 9 last year which caused major damage to roads, residential properties and business premises in both areas.
