MALVERN – The aim of the event was to raise money for a cupcake drive.

Miss Cheerful Givers beauty pageant was held at the Malvern Methodist Church on October 7.

The aim of the event was to raise funds for a cupcake drive.

“With the money that we raised we will be able to hand out cupcakes to homeless children,” said Shelton Misheck, organiser of the event.

The winners were:

• Pretty Phakathi was crowned Miss Cheerful Givers and won the first prize of R1 500.

• Rachel Nkoana was crowned first princess and won R1 000.

• Beulynne Betshanger was crowned second princess and won R500.

The top three winners will be taken to Cape Town for vacation.

“Those who did not make it to the top three will be taken to Bloemfontein for vacation,” he said.

Misheck said the event was a success.

“We wish to have more models enter next year’s event,” said Misheck.
