Principal receives prestigious Paul Harris Award from Bedfordview Rotary

Rotary Club of Bedfordview has awarded Josua du Plessis a Paul Harris Award.

Rotary Club of Bedfordview has awarded Josua du Plessis, principal of Elandspark School, the Paul Harris Award.

The Paul Harris fellows are people who extend themselves above and beyond their normal capacity.

They are dedicated and committed to servicing the needs of others.

Rotarian Filippa Heyneke said du Plessis has a passion for education and all associated aspects.

“His personal investment in Elandspark School, along with a loyal and committed staff, has brought considerable success.

“Elandspark School has excelled academically, culturally and in sport. Josua is a dedicated sportsman and has been involved with the SA LSEN rugby board for many years,” said Heyneke.

Past president, David Leventhorpe PHF of Rotary Club of Bedfordview presented Josua du Plessis with a Paul Harris pin and certificate.

Du Plessis accepted this recognition and now joins a family of some 950 000 Paul Harris fellows which include notables such as Mother Teresa, Prince Charles, Indira Gandhi, Pope John Paul ll and Nelson Mandela.
