Report criminal activity, says EMS
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said residents came out in their numbers to support the campaign.
City of Joburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) personnel led by the deputy director of fire and rescue services, Tshepo Setlako, held a crime awareness campaign at Denver hostel on November 1.

The aim of the campaign was to plead with the residents to report all criminal activity which endangers the lives of other people and disrupt service delivery of emergency services in their area.
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said residents came out in their numbers to support the campaign.

“It is our commitment to save lives and properties of all the residents of the city. We commit ourselves to render effective professional emergency services all the time not only in Denver and surrounding areas, but throughout Johannesburg, as long as our residents can guarantee our safety,” he said.
Mulaudzi said campaigns will continue in all the areas which have been identified as hot spots to create awareness about the challenges that EMS is faced with.
Denver hostel community leader Shalazile Mbatha promised EMS personnel that they as “induna” will ensure that EMS personnel are protected when responding to emergency incidents in the area.
