Meet ward 118 committee member Ndlovu
JOBURG – The committee’s responsibility is to make the municipality aware of the needs and concerns of residents and to keep people informed about the activities of the municipality.

Malvern resident and Ward 118 committee member Ntombifuthi Ndlovu wants to see a clean and safe ward.
Ndlovu is the committee member for the environmental portfolio.

She encouraged residents to report street lights which are not working.
“Ward 118 is huge and I am pleading with residents to contact me if they see that their street lights are not working.”
Ward committee members were elected at the beginning of 2017, six months after the August 3 local government elections.
The purpose of ward committees is to encourage participation by the community.

The committee’s responsibility is to make the municipality aware of the needs and concerns of residents and to keep people informed about the activities of the municipality.
“Residents need to report all street lights that are not working. When it is dark, it hinders our visibility to determine what is happening in the streets.
“We cannot even identify those dumping rubbish on our street corners at night,” she said.
