Social media platforms have been abuzz with rumours of a suspected bomb scare at Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Alana Hoskin, marketing manager for Eastgate told the NEWS that an evacuation alarm was accidentally triggered.

“There is no bomb. The mall will release an official statement soon,” said Hoskin.
