At the top of Rundle’s priority list is following up and monitoring the rehabilitation of the Eastleigh Spruit.
Rundle believes rehabilitating the spruit and repairing flood damage will improve Edenvale.
“In order to attract investment to the town the spruit must be improved,” said Rundle.
To reduce water and flooding on Edenvale’s roads Rundle will continue to push for more stormwater drains to be repaired.
With money received from the City of Ekurhuleni’s Lungile Matjale Project, Rundle plans to improve infrastructure in his ward.
Rundle said he has started plans for pavement repairs and traffic calming measures such as speed humps.
This year Rundle has also called for greater public participation.
In order to achieve greater community involvement, Rundle encouraged residents to participate in the annual Integrated Development Plan.
“Community members need to have a say on how their rates and levies are used,” said Rundle.
Rundle aims to ensure community members receive adequate service delivery from the municipality.
In order to achieve this Rundle will report matters brought to him.
Once he has reported the matter, Rundle will engage with relevant officials to resolve the problem.
Rundle said he looks forward to working together with the community in 2018.
