Theft out of motor vehicle: Don’t fall victim

Since the start of the year, 15 cases of theft out of motor vehicles were reported to the Edenvale SAPS.

Community members are encouraged not to leave their valuables in their cars.

“This crime often occurs when valuables are left in plain sight inside a vehicle,” said Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS.

Olckers urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are locked and that all windows are closed.
