Parkrun grows more popular at Gillooly’s

The fun run takes place every Saturday and runners all ages are welcome to take part in the free activity.

Runners of all sizes and ages went head to head against the clock at the recently 5km Gillooly’s Parkrun in a quest to beat their personal times and have fun.

They call themselves Team C16 and say they are training for the Comrades. At the back are Nocawa Nabela, Solly Dlamini, Moji Mokobori, Bono Gumede and Sizwe Qulo. In front are Sizwe’s two children, Siyuvile and Asemahle Qulo.

The fun run takes place every Saturday from 8am and runners of all ages are welcome to take part in the free activity.

Jayden Sacker (10), accompanied by his mom, ran the farm track for the second time.

The Grade Five learner finished in 38 minutes and beat his personal best time of 45 minutes.

He proudly rang the bell, as is tradition.

At the back are Allan and Conan Lai and in front are Bradley Kingston, Chan Ma, Gareth Wing and Tanya Lai. They have turned the run into a fun activity for family and friends.
