“The guard informed the officers about a silver-grey Ford Figo which drove away from a house in Nottingham Street at high speed. Police officers gave chase and stopped the car at the corner of Roberts and Marathon streets. They searched the car and found two television sets and jewellery.”
“The officers went back to the Nottingham Street house where the domestic worker told them that the three suspects had held her at gunpoint during a robbery,” he said.
Jordaan said the Figo had been hijacked in Sebenza earlier this year.
The three men – aged 27, 28 and 30 – are expected to appear in court soon while police investigations continue.
