Local swimmers excel

St Andrew’s School for Girls learners Lize-Mari de Beer (Grade 12) and Hannah Robertson (Grade Eight) participated in the NTS February 2018 Last Chance Age Group Gala on February 16 and 17.

The event took place at Hillcrest Swimming Pool in Pretoria.

Robertson, competing in the 13-year-old women’s category, came first in the 50m freestyle (in 28.73 seconds), the 100m freestyle (1:00.83 minutes) and the 200m freestyle (2:12.84). She also came second in the 400m freestyle (4:40.81).

De Beer, competing in the women’s 17 to 18-year-old category, placed first in the 100m freestyle (59.91) and the 200m freestyle (2:10.66).
