Strictly Broadway delivers spectacular performance

The concert attracted mostly the elderly from different parts of Gauteng.

The audience at the Strictly Broadway concert on February 18 was captivated by marvellous voices as opera singers poured their hearts out through music at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.

The concert saw close to a 1 000 opera lovers making their way to the theatre.

This spectacular performance was accompanied by dancers who left the crowd in awe while displaying their choreography with an elegance that matched their repertoire to every song.

The singers’ voices and the lit-up stage were the centre of attention.

The band exuded passion as they handled their on-stage musical equipment producing sweetening melodies.

Acts on stage that dazzled the crowd included Aspects of Love, Evita, Love Never Dies, Oklahoma, Carousel, Sound of Music, Candide, South Pacific, Jekyll and Hyde and Les Misérables. These songs were not only delivered but perfected.

The audience applauded the performance with whistling just before the curtain closed. Admiration from the concert goers was seen during the meet and greet segment, during which autographs were signed.

It is our mission and passion to bring good quality music and beautiful concerts to communities and at the same time creating a platform for our abundant South African talent.”

Coetzer said other concerts were being planned in future.
