The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court sentenced David Mchunu (31) to an effective 20 years imprisonment for aggravated robbery, sexual assault and pointing of a firearm.
Mchunu was arrested in 2015 for armed robbery in Kensington.

“Mchunu used his father’s old blue Toyota Hilux bakkie to patrol the streets of Malvern and Kensington,” Cleveland SAPS spokesperson Captain Johan Jordaan said.
“He always stopped by women who were walking in the streets, pointed his firearm at them and forced them into the vehicle. He sexually assaulted the women before robbing them of their cellular phones and cash,” he said.
