Cleveland SAPS suspect Bruma man was kidnapped

CLEVELAND – Jordaan said Chwaula is a well-known street vendor in Bruma.

Cleveland SAPS is searching for a missing person who they believe could be the victim of a kidnapping.

The spokesperson for the station, Captain Johan Jordaan, said the 35-year-old Boscd Chwaula was last seen on March 27.

“He was negotiating with someone about money that he borrowed and then went to Benoni with an unknown man.

“Later that day his family was contacted to pay a ransom. After a long search, the family was told that he had managed to escape. They went to the station where a case of kidnapping was opened,” he said.

Police are requesting for anyone who might have information to come forward.
