Elections for Ward 20 Bedfordview committee members will commence on June 6 at the Bedfordview Library auditorium.
The aim of the nominations is to ensure sector support and to improve service delivery.

It is also to encourage communities to be involved in public participation initiatives.
Candidates need to be South African citizens, reside in the ward, not employed by the municipality, not in rates arrears, not been convicted of a crime and of sound mind.
Sectors which require candidates are Woman and Children, Sports, Heritage, Recreation, and Arts and Culture and lastly Health and Social Welfare.
