Youth desk assists in protecting children

"Over 200 informative pamphlets were handed out to the community,"

Edenvale SAPS’ Social Crime Prevention Unit and Edenvale Youth Desk recently embarked on their Child Protection Week campaign.

At the campaign held at the Horwood’s Farm Family Market members of the youth desk handed out informative pamphlets.

Sergeant Jacob Mashile, head of Edenvale’s SCPU said the June 3 campaign went well.

“Over 200 informative pamphlets were handed out to the community,” said Mashile.

Mashile urged community members to speak out against child abuse.
