Cleveland SAPS arrested a 24-year-old man at Mongolongolo Informal Settlement in Denver on July 13 who the SAPS described as a serial rapist.
The station’s spokesperson, Captain Johan Jordaan, said they received information about the whereabouts of the suspect.
“Officers proceeded to the given address. Upon arrival, they found the suspect and arrested him. He was nabbed by members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit who transported him to Northam SAPS. He appeared in court on two counts of rape on July 16,” he said.

“Further investigation revealed that the suspect was also wanted for four other counts of rape by the Hillbrow and Jeppe SAPS.
“The suspect was hiding in a hut in Mangongolo. He is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court for the rest of the rape charges,” said Jordaan.
