“The sting operation started yesterday and led to the arrest of five officials from the Bedfordview and Alberton testing stations respectively,” said MEC Nkosi-Malobane.“After a thorough and wide ranging investigation which started last year, authorities discovered that the suspects have been involved in dumping outstanding traffic violation fines to deceased people to be able to process fraudulent documents. The crime committed at various testing stations in the country is alleged to amount to R80-million,” Malobane said.
