Bedfordview’s Victoria-Anne gets gold at Central Gauteng Competition
Victoria-Anne was chosen to represent Prima Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at the Central Gauteng Competition.
Victoria-Anne Robinson-Monteiro, a Grade One learner at St Andrew’s School for Girls, participated in a number of competitions for free dance and rope during the month of June.
She finished in second place for free dance and seventh for rope, resulting in being a gold medalist overall in her age group.
Victoria-Anne was then chosen to represent Prima Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at the Central Gauteng Competition.

She finished in third place and received a gold medal overall along with her Central Gauteng Junior Colours for Rhythmic Gymnastics Level 1.
Victoria-Anne qualified to represent Gauteng at nationals at the Zone Festival in Kibler Park.
She competed against 58 girls in her age category and finished in first place for free dance and in 12th place combined with rope.

She was a gold medalist overall.
Victoria-Anne went on to finish as a gold medalist overall at the inter-provincials for artistic gymnastics and represented Gauteng in Pietermaritzburg.
She placed the highest score for vault and floor and second highest score for beam and bar. She took second overall gold in her category.
