Edenvale SAPS celebrates women

“We provided women with tips and advice and gave them each a flower.”

Members of Edenvale’s Social Crime Prevention Unit recently held a Women’s Day event at the Karaglen Shopping Centre.

The event was held on August 25 in partnership with Edenvale’s Youth Desk and community police forum.

Sgt Jacob Mashile, head of the unit, said it was held to celebrate women and to create awareness about domestic abuse.

“We provided women with tips and advice and gave them a flower each,” said Mashile.
