Three backroom shacks on a property in Malvern were destroyed earlier this evening when a fire broke out on the property.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighting teams from Johannesburg Central Fire Station attended to the blaze which occurred at around 5.30pm this evening.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and will form part of an investigation.
