Jeppe SAPS arrested two suspects for rape in Jeppestown on September 2.
Spokesperson for the station Captain Richard Munyayi said the 37-year-old woman alleged that the two suspects asked her to join them while they were drinking.
“The woman agreed to join them and they drank brandy. She alleged that they spent the whole day drinking and later one of the men asked her to go with him to his residential place but she refused,” he said.
Munyayi said the two suspects dragged her to one of the shacks where they forced her to undress and raped her.

“The third suspect also raped her. They left her inside the shack and she managed to escape. She went to her brother’s place who reported the matter to the police,” he said.
The two, aged 32 and 56, were later arrested on the same day while the third one is still on the run.
“They were charged with rape and detained. The suspects appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court and the case was postponed for bail application. Police investigations continues,” said Munyayi.
