One suspect was arrested after vigilant community members and security guards foiled a Greenstone business robbery.
Edenvale SAPS spokesperson Capt Jean Olckers said the suspect was arrested on September 13.
He was charged with attempted business robbery after trying to rob a jewellery store.
“Shoppers saw something happening in the store, and started knocking on the door,” said Olckers.

“The suspect answered the door, but community members and security personnel realised something was wrong.”
He said the suspect was detained by the security company.
“The suspect was found to be in possession of a fake firearm.”
