Little Eden supporters flock to Italy

South African and international supporters of Little Eden Society visited Italy to celebrate the life of the late founders, Danny and Domitilla Hyams.
The visit to Italy between September 14 and 16 celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of Domitilla who was born in Almenno San Bartolomeo.
It started with a celebration of Holy Mass followed by a presentation of an article called “The essence of the message of Love of Domitilla and Danny” by Claudio Salvetti.
On September 15 representatives attended the second annual Danny and Domitilla Memorial Lecture.

Nichollette Muthige, public relations and communications officer, said the lecture was presented by His Grace Archbishop Buti Tlhagale OMI.
It was themed the life journey of the founders of Little Eden Society, Danny and Domitilla Hyams.
“His Grace spoke extensively about events and Domitilla’s deep belief in her faith which shaped and prepared Domitilla for the work she was to start in South Africa,” said Nichollette.
“He also mentioned the supporting role that her husband, Danny, played in her life.”
The lecture concluded when Archbishop Buti Tlhagale said the South African Bishops Conference approved the investigation into the cause of Danny and Domitilla Hyams as a couple for sainthood.
The nihil obstat has been sent to the Vatican in Rome for the next step.
