Volunteers donated their time at charity shop

JOBURG – It is always heartwarming when a group such as this reaches out.

Johannesburg Children’s Home charity shop at Queen Street in Kensington hosted a group of people who donated their Saturday morning to tidying shelves, pricing donated items and sorting goods for sale.

“I work as a regular volunteer at the shop three days a week. It is always heartwarming when a group of people reach out and is so giving of their time, working quickly and efficiently doing things that regular volunteers often do not have enough time to attend to,” said Margaret Townsend.

“Anyone interested in working as a volunteer on a regular basis or getting together as a group to come in on a once-off project can call the Johannesburg Children’s Home on 011 648 1120,” she said.
