Assumption Convent School are celebrating 2018 IEB national senior certificate success after the school achieved a 100 per cent pass rate on January 3.
The school’s 44 candidates also achieved a 100 per cent university exemption. Principal Neville Workman said the subject averages for the Class of 2018 were all above the IEB national matric subject average.
The following learners attained five or more distinctions:
• Keeyanda Tshipamba achieved nine distinctions (Afrikaans, English, mathematics, advanced programme mathematics, computer applications technology, history, physical science, life sciences and life orientation).
• Emilie Godwin achieved eight distinctions (Afrikaans, English, advanced programme English, mathematics, life sciences, history, computer applications technology and life orientation).
• Natasha Kasambira achieved seven distinctions (Afrikaans, English, mathematics, physical science, life science, computer applications technology and life orientation).
• Kiana Van Der Schyff achieved six distinctions (Afrikaans, English, dramatic arts, music, mathematics and life orientation).
• Gabriella Horn achieved five distinctions (English, dramatic arts, life sciences, mathematics and life orientation).
• Pragna Singh achieved five distinctions (English, mathematics, life sciences, physical science and life orientation).
• Kayla Smith achieved five distinctions (Afrikaans, English, computer applications technology, business studies and life orientation).
