The NEWS asked 2019 matric learners at all boys school St Benedict’s College if it would be difficult to adjust from a single-gender school to a co-ed university next year.

Daniel Kilian:
“I don’t think it will be difficult. We are still very much in contact with girls. I am comfortable speaking to both genders.”
Julio Martins:
“Not really, I come from a co-ed school. I am comfortable with it, but I think it will take some time for others.”
Tiaan de Klerk:
“I do not think so, I have many many girl friends, it won’t be that much of a shift.”
Charlton Monakali:
“Definitely not, you build confidence in an all boys school. We are very much competitive at Bennies. I think we will flow from high school to varsity.”
