125th year of the Rand Show has something for everyone
The Rand Show, a staple in so many South Africans' lives, is one of the longest-running lifestyle events in the world.
The Rand Show is celebrating its 125th year in existence and promises to take everyone along for the ride in 2019.
It will take place from April 19 to 28 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

This year will include a number of new attractions set to keep everyone entertained, which were presented on February 21.

A new gaming pavilion that will feature a Fortnite Gaming Competition with prize money of R100 000 and will also include cosplay and dance tournaments.
The World of Motoring will also be present along with singer Lloyd Cele, bringing car enthusiasts an Auto Khana driving course, drifting and spinning with MSA certified professional drivers, IASCA World Record Sound Competition and Show and Shine Car displays.

The Fashion, Beauty & Fitness Expo will bring from across the pond some of the world’s best fitness experts such as AJ Elison from the USA.
Our very own Jaco de Bruyn will also bring some muscle to the expo.
SA Fitness Runaway Model has its home at the Rand Show and will deliver the beauty along with prizes valued at R125 000.

The Military Show, brought to you by the Department of Defence, will demonstrate combat fighting, helicopter flyovers and jet displays.
The Drum Majorettes make a return this year and will feature a Rand Show Gold Cup Competition.

Irish Sword swallower Murray Molloy will grace us with his presence this year to perform his death-defying acts as well.
The SA Garden & Home Magazine Flower and Décor pavilion will have the latest furniture and décor displays along with a SANBI flower display.

The Rand Show press launch also included Rand Show medal honorees for the year of 2019 which included Lucas Radebe, Enos Mafakate and Singer Sewing Machines, to name a few.
