Lerena shows no mercy for Mann

Emperors Palace hosted a Box and Dine tournament on March 16.

The tournament was aptly named No Mercy as Kevin ‘Two Guns’ Lerena showed no mercy when he defeated Germany’s Artur Mann.

Mann had a 15-fight unbeaten record.

Lerena retained his International Boxing Organisation (IBO) cruiserweight world title by recording a fourth-round TKO victory against Mann.

Lerena showed no adverse signs from the shoulder surgery he had in July last year as he sent the German to the canvas twice in the fourth round.

The event saw some famous faces, including Bedfordview’s fitness couple, Khabonina Qubeka and Vuyisile Colossa, Jesse Suntela, Pallance Dlala and Tema Sebopedi, to name a few.
