Yeoville SAPS management honoured police members who go beyond the call of duty to fight crime.
Members were represented with certificates of appreciation on February 27.
“These members have excelled in their duties and went the extra mile in ensuring perpetrators are held accountable and remain behind bars,” said Yeoville spokesperson Capt Sifiso Mabizela.
“Their dedication in the eradication of crime through commitment and loyalty in the fight against crime has not gone unnoticed.”
Det Sgt Malusi Masimini received a certificate for commitment and thorough investigation.

He investigated a 2016 murder which resulted in a 15-year prison sentence. The conviction was secured in 2018.
Det Sgt Maroba Phoswa was acknowledged for the good work done in arresting a suspect for robbery with firearm, and possession of an illegal firearm that took place in February.
Det Sgt Lufuno Sono received an award for dedication, commitment and thorough investigation.
His hard work resulted in a life sentence in a murder case. The murder took place in 2016 and the conviction was secured in 2018.
Det Const Ronald Hlengani was rewarded for dedication, commitment and thorough investigation.
He investigated a robbery that resulted in a 15-year prison sentence.
Const Jane Mogopa was rewarded for good work after arresting a suspect for robbery with firearm and possession of an illegal firearm in February.
Const Thembani Baloyi and Const Mhlengi Zungu received awards for good work after arresting suspects for robbery.
