Kashaliyah Naidoo, a Grade Eight learner from St Andrew’s School for Girls, participated in the Bloemfontein Open Squash Tournament over the past weekend.
This is a national tournament with all top players from all regions taking part.
She played in the u-14 category and was placed ninth overall.

Kashaliyah will be preparing for the South African Closed Tournament later this month for a national ranking.
She was also accepted to play for Easterns in Bloemfontein for the South African Country Festivals Tournament that leads to the Inter-provincial Tournament (IPT).
Grade 12 learner Caitlin van der Berg has been selected for the South African team for squash, who will compete in Tel Aviv in Israel in the 50th International Physics Olympiad from July 7 to July 15.
