Officers of the Joburg Flying Squad arrested four people during routine crime prevention operations in and around Joburg from April 12 to 15.
Spokesperson Sgt Desmond Subramoney said officers managed to recover two stolen vehicles and two unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
“The vehicles recovered were a Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Golf.
“We encourage members of the public to continue to collaborate with police by reporting crime and any suspicious persons and activities. Information may be given anonymously using the crime stop hotline number 086 001 0111 or by contacting the nearest police station,” said Subramoney.
The four suspects, aged between 24 and 36, are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.
