She said that the society is a non-profit organisation and funds activities and lunches for the seniors.

The Edenvale Senior Citizens Society had a morning market to support their members on May 4 at the Edenvale Community Centre.

The morning market had five stalls headed by seniors and six stalls headed by the Edenvale residents.

“We also had our charity shop and we sold curry and rice, cold drinks and bacon rolls,” said Edenvale Senior Citizens Society office manager Maureen Croston.

She said that the society is a non-profit organisation and funds activities and lunches for the seniors.

“We do this to help our seniors. We want them to get out to have some fun and have a hearty meal as well,” said Maureen.
