Little Eden Society running out of clothes

The shop has been a treasure box for bargain hunters from Edenvale and surroundings for over 40 years.

Little Eden Society recently relocated and upgraded their Charity Shop at De’ Sun Place at 33 8th Avenue in Edenvale.

The shop has been a treasure box for bargain hunters from Edenvale and surroundings for over 40 years.

Currently, there has been an urgent need for donations of gently-used clothing and furniture.

There has recently been a noticeable decrease in income generated through the shop mainly due to the low volume of items available on sale.

Income derived from the Little Eden Charity Shop operation contributes towards the overall R45-million needed by the society to keep its doors open.

“The majority of the 300 residents at Little Eden have been abandoned and some come from poor families who are unable to support them financially,” said Nichollette Muthige, public relations and communications officer of Little Eden.
