Residents urged to assist Avalon
Donations of clothes, books, appliances, cutlery, crockery and furniture are needed for re-sale in the store.
The Avalon Association, a home for people with disabilities, based in Kensington, is appealing for assistance from the community.
As part of its fund-raising initiatives Avalon runs the Hop-A-Long Charity Shop.
Donations of clothes, books, appliances, cutlery, crockery and furniture are needed for re-sale in the store.
Residents who are able to donate previously loved goods to the store are encouraged to do so.
Also, a fund-raising evening for Avalon is planned for September 10 and will be held at Cherokee Spur on September 10.
At the evening a percentage of each meal bought will be donated to Avalon.
Restaurant nights will take place from 6pm to 8.30pm.
