Christian books written by Thornhill Manor resident Ann Goodfellow will be on sale at the fête.

Ann has written Christian devotions for decades and published her first book in 2008.

Titles that will be on sale are: God is Waiting to Meet You, God Wants You to Know Him, God Wants to Bless You, God’s Promises, Today is No Ordinary Day, Encountering God and Life on the Narrow Road.

Her latest book, Path of the Pilgrim, is being published by Struik and should be available in local bookstores in early October.

Ann is equally known for her masses of clivia plants.

Before moving to Thornhill Manor, she had a house with a large garden in Edenglen.

It was there that she fell in love with these herbaceous evergreen plants after being given some as a gift.

She went on and joined the local clivia club and began spreading her plants.

Today she has hundreds of clivias in various growth stages.

Some of the clivias plants grown by her will also be on sale at the fête.

Thornhill Manor’s annual fête is held in the village hall and park area.

It offers interesting stalls and many food and refreshment choices.

The fête takes place from 9 am to 1 pm at 158 Westlake Drive, Lakeside, Johannesburg Road in Modderfontein.
