Edenvale photographers take top spot

Numerous shooting stations were set up which allowed for a lot of fun to be had by the photographers.

Edenvale Photography Club walked away victorious when they took part in the Combined East Rand Photographic Society’s (CERPS) Congress.

CERPS consists of photography clubs from Benoni, Boksburg, Edenvale, Kempton Park and Springs.

On October 19 members were invited to the competition hosted by the Benoni Club.

Representatives from the New Edenvale Photography Club at the recent Combined East Rand Photographic Society’s (CERPS) Congress competition where the club won.

Several informative presentations by the likes of professional photographer Steve Castings (Godox Ambassador), Peter Moray and Meghan McCabe were part of the agenda.

Numerous shooting stations were set up which allowed for a lot of fun to be had by the photographers.

The main attraction of the CERPS Congress is an inter-club photography competition where each club presents 15 junior and 15 senior images to the contest.

Results were as follows:

1. Edenvale Photographic Club 1 054 points.

2. F-Stop Photographic Society Kempton Park 1 031 points.

3. Boksburg Camera Club 1 010 points.

4. Benoni Camera Club 1 006 points.

5. Springs Photographic Club 864 points.

New Edenvale Photography Club member Stephen Kangisser was awarded the Best Junior Open Colour image with his submission, entitled Winder Wonderland.
