Events in the community
The Piston Ring Club, for all vehicles 20 years and older, meets on the third Sunday of the month at the Modderfontein grounds.

• The Modderfontein Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of each month from 9am to 2pm at Frans Hoenig House, Main Road, Modderfontein.
• The Women’s Institute meets on the first Wednesday of every month at the Edenvale Bowling Club situated on Sixth Avenue. Meetings take place at 9.30am for 10am. Events cost R10 and include tea and interesting speakers.
• The Inner Wheel Club of Bedfordview meets on the first Tuesday of each month. All women are welcome to join. Contact Glo on 083 702 6443.
• Lions Club of Bedfordview meets every second Saturday at 11am at 1 Neave Road, St Andrew’s Bedfordview. Contact secretary Irene on 072 409 6594.
• Poster Busters meet on the third Saturday of each month from 2pm at Horwood’s Farm. Poster removals take approximately two hours. Contact Margy on 072 123 5544.
