St Benedict’s celebrates results from the class of 2019

Five candidates obtained a full house of distinctions.

St Benedict’s a school that has achieved a 100% pass rate for the past 45 years, is today celebrating the unbelievable results of the Class of 2019.

The matric learners also acheived the following:

· 96.85% University entrance – Bachelor degree passes

· 100% of boys qualify for tertiary studies

· 12 subjects exceeded IEB national subject averages

Five candidates obtained a full house of distinctions:

Karl Etsebeth is the school’s top matric student with eight distinctions and an average of 92.6%. He is also on the IEB Commendable Achievers’ List and on the top 1 per cent of the country in three subjects

Yashin Govender achieves nine distinctions and an average of 91.6 per cent.

Julio Martins achieved an average of 90.1 per cent and nine distinctions.

Andy Li achieved an 88.7 per cent and eight distinctions.

Joshua Kelly pulled in eight distinctions and an average of 88.3 per cent.
