Tarryn’s modelling dream comes true

“My inspiration for going to New York is to motivate and inspire other women and moms around the world.”

Edenvale resident and founder of Miss Teen Social Entrepreneur Tarryn Ogle is set to take to the runway for New York Fashion Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion.

Tarryn will accompany fashion designer Pikkie Willett of Willett Designs as he showcases his couture fashion line.

Art Hearts Fashion is a platform for designers and artists to showcase their collections in a contemporary fashion week setting.

Tarryn, who is 38, started her modelling career at the age of 14 in East London, Eastern Cape.

Her career started with Just Models, and has since then always been a fashion and modelling enthusiast.

“It’s always been a dream of mine since I can remember. I am very grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Tarryn.

Tarryn, who is a businesswoman, wife and mother of five, said it is often challenging for women to find time for themselves.

“My inspiration for going to New York is to motivate and inspire other women and moms around the world.

“To tell women that their dreams are still valid, no matter their age or circumstances.”

Tarryn said it is time to stop making excuses for why women can’t achieve their dreams, and start making them a reality.

“I believe as women we can do it all, raise our kids, take care of our homes, and others as well as to be in the boardroom because as we rise, we lift those around us.”
