How to clean and disinfect household surfaces:

Household surfaces which are high-touch areas need to be cleaned at least once a day, multiple times each day if needed.

These include, tables, chairs, food preparation surfaces, basins, remotes, door knobs, light switches and toilets.

• Wash the surface with water and a mild detergent.

• Dilute household bleach according to manufacturer’s instructions.

• Rewash surfaces with diluted bleach mixture.

• Wipe surfaces with a clean cloth to dry them.

• Place cloths used in the wash and thoroughly wash them before the next use.

*Remember to always use disposable gloves when cleaning with bleach or other household cleaners. Dispose of gloves after one use.
