Rietvlei trails are back

Rietvlei Zoo Farm is situated at Swartkoppies Road almost between Alberton and the Southern suburbs.

Trail running at Rietvlei is back and under the new Level 3 regulations, Rietvlei Zoo farm welcomes all their runners back.

The trails will be open from June 1 opening from 6am to 6pm under strict procedures and rules.

Rietvlei Zoo Farm is situated at Swartkoppies Road almost between Alberton and the Southern suburbs.

Back in full force will be the mountain biking, hiking, walking, running, and cross-country activities.

Exercise will be allowed, but not organised groups are allowed. All athletes should wear masks or buffs at all time.

On another note, Rietvlei Parkrun will not be open for June. www.parkrun.co.za.

You may purchase a Rietvlei trail access card that can be used entering the Rietvlei Trails on Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

All have to register and sign the indemnity forms, all Covid-19 health and safety protocols must be followed at all times, including observance of guidelines for social distancing, sanitation and hygiene, and use of cloth face masks or buffs.

Rietvlei Trails has decided to offer winter specials for the months of June, July and August.

Please Note: Rietvlei Trails are open, but the Picnic Park is closed.

The Picnic Park is considered a recreation and leisure area, and is therefore closed until Level 1.
