St Andrew’s School for Girls celebrates Pride Month

This year is the 50th anniversary of the first Pride parade

St Andrew’s s School for Girls matric learners added colour to the celebration of Pride Month.

It is an entire month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQI+ voices, celebration of their culture and the support of their rights.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the first Pride parade, which happened in 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising in America.

The girls requested to raise the Pride flag to show the school?s solidarity to the LGBTQI+ community.
