The third annual Saheti Science Fair was a virtual event held between St Andrew’s Junior School and Saheti School.
The learners worked hard on their projects throughout the second term.
Their online presentations were made to a panel of judges from the Science and Life Science Departments of Saheti and the Natural Science Department of St Andrew’s School for Girls.

The students tackled all obstacles that come with online presenting and were able to impress the judges.
Dr C Christofides, Life Sciences: Research and Development at Saheti explained the benefits of the initiative.
“A science fair pushes learners to go above and beyond what is typically required of them in a school project. It not only increases scientific knowledge but also helps to improve speaking and presentation skills.
“A science fair project requires a great investment of time and energy but produces invaluable rewards.”
The junior category was won by St Andrew’s with Grade Seven Aurora Marsella taking first place.
Fellow Grade Seven learners Tamsin Yates and Meah Leger placed second and third respectively.
The senior category of the fair was won by Saheti with joint first place awarded to Grade 10 learners Natalia de Vos and Keeran Moodley.
