St Andrew’s support committee – the team of moms and dads who helped run the results checking.

St Andrew’s School for Girls recently hosted the virtual African rowing qualifier for the World Indoor Rowing Championship.

A total of 550 rowers from 19 countries across Africa participated in the event.

The virtual rowing event started on a shaky note with a few connection issues.

The St Andrew’s coaches kept the supporters entertained with commentary while the rowing support committee worked tirelessly in the background checking results and keeping the team well supplied with refreshments.

The school thanked World Rowing for the opportunity to host the event, a first for Africa.
