Kempton footballers face off in Edenvale

“We want to be as careful as possible because we need the government to reopen sports.”

Esther Park and Kempton Park West football clubs went head to head in a friendly match at Edenvale Sports Grounds on January 24.

The two teams played against each other in preparation for the reopening of the community and club football leagues.

Esther Park FC representative Vuyo Ndluvo said the players were enjoying themselves in a friendly game and testing their skills against one another.

He said both clubs took the necessary precautions, such as sanitising and the taking of temperatures, against Covid-19.

“We want to be as careful as possible because we need the government to reopen sports.”

Esther Park FC members and supporters explained that by reopening sports, community members would be able to keep their minds and bodies active.
