Hat day fun at Edenglen High
“With all the stress the school has due to Covid-19, having a hat day was a good and safe way to have some fun.”
Since Covid-19 became part of our lives, things as we knew them changed completely. Georgette Peristeris, the public relations officer and marketing coordinator of Edenglen High School, said a week before learners started school for the 2021 school year, the staff at Edenglen High had a crazy hat theme day.
Prizes were on offer for staff members with the best hats. Many staff members wore hats they had at home and other staff members got more creative and made their awesome hats.

“Thank you to Mrs Verwey who organised the event for the staff,” said Georgette. “Congratulations to Mr Foster who won the cash prize for the best hat.”
The two runners-up, Mr Vivers and Ms Welch, received a Flying Pancake bottle mix.
“With all the stress the school has due to Covid-19, having a hat day was a good and safe way to have some fun,” said Georgette.
